Bio / Bio Ita

I was born in Cesenatico a few years ago. Up to the age of 10 I?d wandered around until I'd fallen in love... You'd have to see her! Awesome!

Mother of pearl, colored blue, cyan and ivory, surrounded by gold hihats... And the most important thing: She made a great noise...the drums. How could I resist?

I started to realize that music was a completely different business around the forties (the day before yesterday for me). But you have to build your future day by day. When I was 16 I started to travel the world and earn my own money doing my favorite thing: Play. Wonderful!

At the same time I bought my own kit...with my parents' money. It was pitch black, a brand new Ludwig, with transparent drumheads and Zildjan plates. Three! A ride and 2 crashes. Kick, snare, two toms, and a floor tom.

Since then, I played so many times and with so many people, that you could easily fill up a whole library if you were to write them all down on paper. I played anything with anyone. And from each and every of these experiences I learned something.

Since that moment I've played so many notes that I could fill a library if I could write'em on paper. I played everything with everyone, and from everyone I learned something.

To write a biography could mean to list a series of results and things done during a lifetime. Telling you everything could be long and, I'm quite sure, boring. So I'll write only the essentials.

My hands and my feet have played for Terence Trent D'Arby but also for local little orchestras of my town, for Laura Pausini and into the neighborhood pubs for nothing, for Grazia di Michele, Mariella Nava and the Cesenatico music school.

My hands and my feet have walked through live TV shows in Italy and United States, from the old cult show ?DOC? with Renzo Arbore to Taratata, CD Live, Top Of The Pops, Jay Leno in Los Angeles and MTV Music Awards in Rotterdam. Or into clubs like the BB King in New York and the House Of Blues in Chicago.

My hands and my feet have been useful for Jovanotti records. A lot of good things are born with him, like "L'Ombelico Del Mondo" and "Penso Positivo". My ideas have been put into records of Celentano, Nek, Andrea Mingardi, Cesare Cremonini, Piero Pelù, Ligabue and many others.

I spread a lot of vibes in the air with a lot of musicians. Some of them were good, some not. Some of them are famous, some others aren't. Bill Evans, Christian Mc Brinde, Stefano Bollani, Torino Philarmonic Orchestra at the Pavarotti International. And with my cousin Alberto. With Eros Ramazzotti and Pino Daniele in trio with Jovanotti. I've jammed with Whitney Houston musicians. I was the only white guy. And with many others, forgive me if I forget somebody.

My drums vibrated in a thousand tours in many places of Europe, America, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Africa, and of course Italy a million ways...only.

arrived here doing all these little big things. For sure I've done many others that I'm forgetting, but I was a kid. Now I'm starting a new adventure, my first solo project. And for me it's the most important ever, the first that truly scares me.... But at the same time it is very exciting. So, let's see where it will bring me... See you all!

I forgot to say... I'm self-taught.
Pum...Cha...ChaPum, Pum, Cha.
